Welcome to The Reins of Leadership - the podcast where we explore the edges of soulful leadership through stories from the paddock, practical strategy, and a bit of equine-inspired magic.

Each episode draws on lessons I’ve learned (and am still learning!) alongside my horses, donkeys and ponies, and connects them to the real-life challenges and triumphs of being a CEO, leader or changemaker in today’s world.

Why Horses? Because They Don’t Care About Your Title.

A horse is a 600kg biofeedback machine that can’t be fooled. They are prey animals, hardwired for survival, which makes them masters of reading energy and intention.

• They don’t know you’re a CEO. They only know the energy you bring into the space—whether it’s confident, scattered, anxious, or calm.

• They demand presence. You can’t be checking your email in your head while leading a horse. They feel your distraction and lose trust. They teach you to be fully, powerfully here.

• They reward clear, quiet leadership. In a herd, the lead horse doesn’t rule by force. They lead with subtle cues, earned respect, and an unwavering sense of direction. They show us that true power is quiet.
